Cardioselect is a Palm OS based program that assists in selection of noninvasive cardiac testing. Pre-test probability is calculated by either Diamond/Forrester tables or combined Diamond Forrester and CASS data. This may be modified, then a table is presented giving the sensitivity, specificity, cost, and (given the pre-test probability) probability of significant coronary disease should noninvasive testing be positive or negative.

The user is able to modify the sensitivity and specificity of the various tests to reflect the local experience. This information is retained by the program.

Below you will find a Java applet that also performs these calculations. It requires a Java enabled browser.

Key Benefits

* Diamond Forrester or combined with CASS pre-test probability calculation
* User modification of above
* List of tests including ETT, dobutamine stress echo, exercise Thallium, dual isotope nuclear then presented with probabilities of disease should the tests be positive or negative.
* User ability to change sensitivity and specificity of tests should data change in the future.
